30 POTATO-DEXTROSE AGAR
| Potato, peeled and cut | 200.0 | g |
| Glucose | 10.0 | g |
| Agar | 15.0 | g |
| Distilled water | 1.0 | L |
Boil potatoes for 20 min. Strain through a fine sieve. Add glucose and agar, and boil until dissolved. Do not use new potatoes.
Adjust pH to 5.4 - 5.6.
Comment: Commercial Potato dextrose agar (Difco or Oxoid) is also available.
